Venezuela: Given the situation of emergency power, independent commission of inquiry

Venezuela has reached the third day without electricity. This has caused distress inhabitants by effects on health care, communications and transport. The government attributes the mega-blackout that began Thursday a "sabotage" perpetrated from the United States to the Guri hydroelectric, the country's largest. It's time to be going through an interventionist threat of military character that has to Juan Guaidó as its main figure. Nevertheless, workers and some experts have attributed the failures to lack of maintenance, divestment and corruption.

The enormous power failure comes to further punish a population suffering by hyperinflation, shortages of medicines and food. Many supermarkets are closed because they lack power plants. No one can withdraw money from ATMs or use any cards, in a country where electronic transactions are vital even for small operations because there is no cash. And long lines are noticed in the few petrol pumps that resumed operations after returning electricity. And deaths have been reported in hospitals and railway system and the Caracas metro is out of service.

In the midst of this catastrophe, interventionist voices were quick to exploit the situation to further advance the development of interventionism which seeks the overthrow of Maduro. The world's eyes have seen the attacks by US, not surprised that they can have such actions. It is well known, that imperialism, who should pay what they cynically advertised as "The share of sacrifice" for "Restore democracy and freedom" It is the people.

But it is important to remember that from the base of workers and trade union leaders in the sector itself has consistently denounced the collapse of the national electricity system. Many states in Venezuela have suffered blackouts for years and lack of qualified personnel because of the precariousness of wages.

That is why from electrical chaos is important to name an independent commission investigating the government and the interventionist interests which workers have CORPOELEC the preponderant share. To verify the situation, claim and collected the information enabling them to submit an emergency plan. Knowing what really happens, inform the people and propose solutions under supervision of workers.

This issue can not be left only in the hands of the bureaucracy and the military, Society has a right to know and act. While cupolas vie for power stoke repression and interventionism, workers are called to offer a way out of the population passing through a situation of isolation, precariousness and uncertainty.
Marea Socialista since we put at the disposal of workers to resolve this crisis that none of the domes will solve.

Before the blackout, independent commission of inquiry!
