Colombia: against state terrorism. Mobilization, confrontation and organized struggle!
The images of the murder of Javier Ordoñez at the hands of two police officers who immobilized him, beaten and electrocuted to death, in the form of torture, They toured social networks and the media, generating a broad repudiation in the mass movement and centrally in the youth.
We remember the history 21 November 2019, when the people rose up against Duque's package, but also against the systematic murders of social leaders, for the dismantling of ESMAD, and against the murderous doctrine of the military and parastatal forces. Now, During the COVID-19 pandemic, the adjustment policy has deepened along with militarization and repression by the regime represented by the Duque-Uribe government., which, his party the Democratic Center, centralizes legislative power, executive and judicial, in addition to making the living conditions of the working class precarious while saving companies like Avianca and leaving the systematic massacres that have gone through the fibers of the entire Colombian people with impunity..
It is so, like the indignation that explodes on the night of 9 of September, It is the clear expression of repudiation of the regime, the criminal institutions of the state and the advance of paramilitarism complicit with the Duque-Uribe government, which today leaves a balance of more than 50 massacres so far this year, 219 people murdered by the policy of repression and death that prevails in the villages, cabildos, communes, peripheries and other places in the country where the regime sees the need to silence the rise of social and popular struggle that spreads with strong conviction and rebellion in our country.
The rage and pain could not be contained any longer.. The spontaneous mobilization in the streets was filled with screams and fights against Javier's murderers, that are loose with the permission of the government and institutions, because they cover up and protect them. Instead of imprisoning the guilty, already having all the evidence, The case is being investigated by the prosecutor's office, institution imbued by uribism that, through the words of Duke, praises the gallantry of the police after the murders perpetrated by said institution with firearms during the protests. Under these conditions, thousands of people are murdered in apparent silence, But the people do not forget and make flesh again the memory of the historic genocide in our country.In these days where torture and murder is the norm!, uprising is the only answer!
In Bogota, On National Human Rights Day, the police murdered more than 7 people with fire shots, one of them, minor with 3 shots to his body. The brutal repression of the police who carried out this massacre and left hundreds of people injured during their legitimate exercise of protest makes it clear that the people's executioners are sneaking through the streets., but again they encounter the radical and positioned response of the youth and the people, those who are not willing to back down from their repression, and that reaffirm at every moment the need to fiercely combat any institution that wants to perpetuate the historical genocide that deepens the reactionary government of Duque together with the Ministry of Defense that imposed the militarization of the city, thus supporting the crimes of the police and putting the massacre in total impunity.
The characteristic of the police in Colombia is not to be a civilian force, so, It is directed directly by the Ministry of Defense and the government, situation that gives it a framework of independence with respect to the orientation of the mayor of Bogotá. This has caused Claudia López to separate herself as politically responsible for the acts of repression.. The reality is that she in her role, chairs the city security council, that is to say, can give orders to repress and disperse mobilizations, Nevertheless, The last word goes to Commander Óscar Gómez Heredia who is directly elected by the national government.An entire undemocratic and authoritarian structure! Today Claudia López talks about a reform of the police force with the aim of appeasing the mobilization, issue that is functional to the government, Well, to achieve changes like those he even proposes, the fight needs to be radicalized, Do not moderate it under the false idea that it is possible to reform the state and in his own words “recover trust in the police.”. It is now clear that you should not have any trust in state institutions. Let us not forget that the movement has historically requested the dismantling of ESMAD and the supposed alternative policy of Claudia López and Daniel Quintero proposed protocols, in order to continue using this force to appease the struggles of the people. Therefore, the only way to defeat state terrorism and end the current regime once and for all, It is organization and mobilization.
Channel the rage, indignation and struggle in organization
All this struggle must be channeled into forms of organization of the working class and popular sectors to achieve victories and be able to advance against the genocidal regime.. The confrontations must become increasingly firmer, conscious and organized. Because, It is urgent to demand that the labor confederations that are part of the CNP reactivate the regional assemblies, national meetings and promote assemblies of workers by sector to be able to define the agenda of struggle in unity and prepare in an organized way the confrontation against the regime in the streets and fields. We must fight from below, all revolutionary organizations, social organizations and anti-bureaucratic unions to establish these spaces of democracy and be able to advance.
We agree with the Block for the Indefinite General Strike in the task of democratically organizing a strike and increasing mobilization in all regions of the country. To that extent, We propose that shock groups or committees be structured, first aid and feeding, with the aim of resisting and taking care of ourselves collectively in the face of the response of the military forces, police and parastatals.
State terrorism has been made evident and therefore it is necessary to guide this fight in order to deepen it against the genocidal regime and the capitalist system as a whole.. Thus, We put forward an anti-repressive program to guide our fight:
- That there be a trial and jail for those responsible for the murder of Javier Ordoñez and for the police officers who perpetrated the massacre on the night of 9 of September.
- For the dismantling of all the repressive forces of the State, destruction of the paramilitary apparatus and destruction of the counterinsurgency doctrine, which is what makes the current actions of the repressive forces possible.
- Immediate dissolution of ESMAD.
- Trial and punishment of those directly and politically responsible for the crimes and massacres that occurred, especially within the repressive forces and the political apparatus of repression., murder, slaughter, genocide and gender violence.
- For the immediate dismissal of mayors, judges and prosecutors who order, They cover up and protect repressors and genocides.
That is why we invite and encourage you to participate in the mobilizations that are mentioned from now on and always!! The fight is now, Well there is a war against the people. Let's respond with fight, for the construction of a different world from neighborhood assemblies, factories, territorial, and that confrontation and mobilization in the streets is what constantly pushes us towards a radically different society!
