He 2 of March, The fascist organization Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia released a statement in the province of Antioquia threatening to “exterminate” a list of student organizations and activists., including colleagues from our organization, in pursuit of his “commitment” to “free Colombia from the communist plague”. The statement warns that it has the activists “identified” and lists a list of organizations and names, threatening that they “suit up for war or die in civilian clothes”.

This very serious threat, the third involving our colleagues in a year, ago part of a policy of persecution and intimidation of paramilitary gangs and right-wing sectors against the student movement and youth mobilized that has just starred in a year of promotion and a historic general strike together with the Colombian working class. These fascist gangs operate under the protection and encouragement of the repressive policy of the neoliberal government of Iván Duque. These attacks are part of a “preventive” orientation of the bourgeoisie to try to weaken one of the most active sectors in Latin America and everything the world against the adjustment plans of the IMF and puppet governments, how is the youth.

We denounce this very serious threat; We stand in solidarity with colleagues and organizations threatened; We hold Duque's government and the authorities responsible Colombian university students for the safety of their threatened classmates; and we make the broadest international call to all human rights organizations humans, unions and student organizations, organizations and personalities leftist and democratic organizations to repudiate this fascist threat and surround solidarity with Colombian colleagues.
