11S: Long live 1-O and Catalan self-determination!
La Diada will find us in the streets. Redirecting the fight for the Republic forces a debate on how to do it to win.
The government of "Progressive coalition" it is not such. Less leftist and socialist. Shows it every day. The expectations sown by the EU aid money will be settled with millions of euros for the coffers of large companies. What is needed will not come to working people but adjustments. Pension reforms, the miserable pay raise in dance, the continuity of the labor reform of the PP and the savages electricity increases are some indicators of the course taken by Pedro Sánchez. Under the tutelage of the EU, they will continue to try to make the crisis pay for those below.
No surprise
Corrupt and anachronistic monarchy commands an exhausted regime. That turns its back on the claims of feminist movements, cultural and social. That it is absolutely closed to recognizing the right to self-determination of Catalonia. That is based on a partial justice and addicted to power. Facing the pandemic with poor sanitary measures, socially unjust and politically undemocratic. Which is increasingly xenophobic and discriminatory. Molded and faithful heir to the Franco.
A similar score
He Govern carries Catalonia towards more social inequalities. Y más privilegios para los capitalistas. Large sectors of society have hit bottom or are on the verge of it. Job insecurity gallops at ease. Beyond the speeches, from the Government, the ERC-JxCAT society moves away from the independence objective. No dialogue, there is monologue. With an unequivocal message: Catalan Republic no. Amnesty no. Partial concessions yes. Regulated autonomy yes. They are responses far from the mobilized claims of the Catalan people. The distention it's a shared policy.
Nothing with bourgeois governments
Although they have nuances and clashes, Pedro Sánchez and Pere Aragonés head two bourgeois governments. They transit more for the approach than for the break. No se puede depositar ninguna expectativa en los que sostienen al régimen, ni en los que inconsecuentes en la lucha por derrumbarlo. Neither in the "Critics from within". United We Can is already part of the "caste". Although they try to differentiate themselves a little, they go behind the PSOE like the PCE and IU. They adapted institutionalism and the capitalist system as its "Left leg". He "Lesser evil" it's a liar political maneuver.
The complicit union bureaucracy
The others responsible for the current situation are in the conduits of CCOO and UGT. They are more in government offices and employers' offices than in the streets. They do not call assemblies to ask what to do and with what program. They limit and isolate the struggles, reflecting the interests of the bureaucracy over the needs of the workers. For these reasons, coordinated fights, national mobilizations and the general strike are encrypted measures.
Turn everything
A new political alternative is needed throughout the Spanish state. Left, anticapitalist, of class independence, that encourages and supports the struggles. Let it feed on the workers, the students, women, pensioners, immigrants and those who want to fight. That is consequently anti-imperialist and does not yield a span to the parliamentary monarchical regime of '78. That facilitates the regrouping of those who seek a different path to defeat the right and the extreme right.
Self-determination and socialism
The CUP that claims to be anti-capitalist, calls for mobilization and criticizes the Govern, I could head such a project. Surely broad sectors of activists would join in with enthusiasm, not only in Catalonia. But it is impossible to create a consistent alternative without breaking the agreements with ERC that allowed the inauguration of Pere Aragonés. And without going to the frank opposition, independent from the bourgeois government.
With the Catalan people
Beyond this conjuncture of contradictions, reflections and some disappointments, todavía no está dicha la última palabra porque el pueblo catalán no fue derrotado. It is necessary to retake the massive mobilizations and popular organization for a new attack. For pending democratic and social rights. For the end of the persecution and the annulment of the causes of exiles and activists. For a deep exit: socialism with democracy that defends the International Socialist League. The only system that can achieve full freedom and satisfaction of social needs, without exploiters or oppressors. The confluence of the socialists, revolutionaries and internationalists, distanced from sectarianism and opportunism, it would be a great step forward on the path of this strategy.
Down with the monarchy and the regime of '78!
Capitalists should pay for the crisis!
