GSF26-II: On the high seas, next stopover in Italy
The Global Sumud Flotilla is already sailing on the high seas. Its mission combines humanitarian aid, political action and the call to reactivate international mobilization for Palestine in an increasingly turbulent regional context. The International Socialist League (LIS) is an active part of the mission, both in the sea and on land.
In the open sea
The GSF began sailing on Sunday 12 April in the Moll de la Fusta and due to a storm, having the experience of the previous mission, It did not continue towards international waters so as not to cause damage to the vessels.. And on Wednesday 15 April set sail for Gaza. They left 37 ships - to which one more will be added- With which, that amount still partial, It is already greater than the entirety of last year. Ships from Greenpeace and Open Arms will also be part of the mission, that will provide a broader humanitarian and security framework.
Several steps ahead, with high morale
The next stop will be in Italy. In Augusta, Catania, Syracuse, Rome and various Sicilian communities will once again express solidarity with Palestine and the Flotilla; with acts, festivals, artistic and cultural meetings. The next expanded departure is expected to be from Syracuse on 24 of April. The following scales will be announced in the future., In each of which it will be essential to evaluate the existing political conditions as a result of the war in the Middle East to decide the steps to follow.

The current flotilla has a message for the people of Gaza that expresses: “They are not alone”, but it also addresses the workers and people of the world, with the call to recreate the enormous international mobilization of last year, university occupations, the strikes, boycott campaigns and actions, in addition to questioning governments, They set their eyes on the Flotilla and defended it.
LIS active on board and on the ground
In Barcelona they were comrades of Socialism and Freedom (SOL)-Spanish State and Workers' Power (Germany) who participated in the activities carried out and hugged Cele and Raúl. In Italy, comrades of the Partito Comunista dei Lavoratori will do the same (PCL) and on the five continents, there will be LIS organizations on the front line of raising the cause of Palestine as a cause of humanity. Driving strikes, mobilizations, boycotts, talks and other initiatives. And of course, spreading the mission of the Flotilla and defending it to the activists that make it up. Always with the strategy of defeating the State of Israel and its accomplices with the Socialist Revolution in the Middle East that opens the way to a Free and Socialist Palestine from the river to the sea.
